Gospel writers, as shown in the phrase “Lamb of God” (John 1:29, 36). This type takes seriously the reality of Jesus’ human life and sufferings, and while not ignoring Jesus’ roles as miracle worker and teacher, looks to him as the sufferer. These four christological models are equally valid, but in the canon the last one seems to dominate.
